Autumn equinox
Today, for me the real start of autumn but unlike the rain and gloom yesterday it has been sunny again and quite warm.
The berries on the Pyracantha are lovely this year after all the blossom in the spring.
I tried to get a macro shot to show off the sparkle of the raindrops from yesterday but wasn’t happy with my results so I decided to go for the ‘bigger picture’. A couple of branches hang down heavily laden with lovely orange berries.
on the left of it on the back wall is a Rowan with bright red berries and to the left a holly with lots of berries developing though not bright red yet.
So the seasons are changing and as promised this morning we started on. Christmas songs at Community choir. Some we did last year and a new one today. To put things in perspective there are not that many weeks to our first gigs especially the town Christmas light switch ons.
I managed to do most of the singing, especially the higher harmonies but for the lower parts I had no voice at all.
Doesn’t bode too well for our play tech rehearsal tomorrow where all the songs are low! Glad theres no church choir tonight too!
(So much sharper in large.)
