Taking In The View
It was up early to go to catch the sunrise at St Michael's mount ………… that was a bit of a washout as the sun was hitting everywhere except the monastery on the top of the island.
After a late breakfast we headed off to Lizard - the southernmost point on Mainland Britain.
Evening was spent on the cliff top somewhere (I must find out where we actually went each day) waiting for the sun to set.
These four girls were obviously enjoying the view.
The cove below this point got a visit from the lifeboat before the sun reached the sea - somebody had obviously phoned them concerned about the 3 people at the foot of the cliffs. After being assured that everything was okay they backed off but remained 'on station' for a while just to make sure that there was no danger with the tide coming in (they were obviously local and knew where the 'hidden' steps/track was to get up and down 'safely').
The sunset produced plenty colour but no drama due to the clouds vanishing.
