Holy Spirit

An early start..we left the apartment before 7 to walk to Larissa Station to catch the train to Kalabaka, a journey of over four hours. Then a 2km walk to Kastraki, in the heart of Metora.

We are staying at a guesthouse attached to the Taverna Gardeniawhich Sarah and I loved so much last year.

Once we had settled in and D had done his yoga, we decided to walk up to the tiny Church of the Holy Spirit, which is cut into a rock face. You can see more about it Here and a photo of the church interior as my extra.

Everywhere here, the views are breathtaking and the light is beautiful, too. I'm looking forward to another three days showing D around. Starting with the taverna...:-)
