Las Gatas Surfing

The long awaited Playa Las Gatas surfing tournament was on today. I have been thinking of a photo like this, shot from the water rather than the shore, for some time, but the various elements were never in sync. Today, I knew there would be a sizable pool of surfers. I knew the waves would be reliable. I knew where to position myself for the shot I envisioned. I resurrected another old camera, this time my Panasonic FZ-150, so I had something a bit better to shoot with than my underwater point and shoot. Captured a ton of photos from my stand-up paddle board before a mishap, more on that in tomorrow's post, sent me back to the beach.
