Salute to the 40s

The sun shone today for day one of the Salute to the 40s event at The Historic Dockyard Chatham.

I’m on traffic management duties this weekend managing a film security team of 16. Today we filled up all car parks with just 15 spaces remaining as record numbers of visitors came to the event.

Invited guests to the HMS Medway also came to the event adding to our numbers. I calculated around 1500 cars and 21 coaches today. I walked 5.6 miles and 14,173 steps over 12 hours. Large glass of wine on the go now.
