MonoMonday: Pastime

Nickimags888's chosen MM challenge today is "Pastime".

As must be the case for many blippers my main pastime is taking photos, so I thought I'd blip something different. My Editor likes doing puzzles to pass the time, so I captured a shot of her sitting outside in the lovely autumn sunshine after lunch today, busy with a cryptic crossword and another word puzzle. (She's keen for you to know that since I took the photo she's made considerably more progress with the puzzles!) I'm no good at cryptic crosswords - I tell my Editor that I haven't got a warped-enough brain...!  ;-))

Now that we're back home we've started the task of cleaning up after the re-roofing job which thankfully was just completed before we went away. The workmen did a moderately successful job of clearing away the worst of the detritus but there's still a lot to do. We've lost count of the nails and screws we've picked up off the drive, so I've not yet driven the car up it until we're fairly certain that we've got them all! They were good at their job (the roof looks great) but I discovered that they'd forgotten to clear out the debris from some of the lower-level drainpipes, not to mention the gunge in the gullies: I could have called them back to deal with this but they're all clear now following my efforts this afternoon.
