Revisiting times past

Today we were looking for a building on the south side of Glasgow as my daughter had spotted an advert for a "Repair Cafe" in a building in the south side of Glasgow.  A great idea to try to repair all sorts of items that you might otherwise put in the bin, especially electric or technological items.  However, she got the date wrong, but we ended up having a pleasant hour walking around the building that had been the science department of Lambhillstreet Secondary school, the school her dad had attended in the 1960s. It is now a local community centre where all sorts of activities and classes were taking place.  Today, however was the last day it would be open before closing for a complete renovation.  My husband enjoyed revisiting the area, but lamented many of the changes.  The Repair Cafe has moved to a different location, which we'll visit in a month's time
