Hiking the White Clay Creek
Well, there's proof positive that the beavers are active in this area!
Along with the grandparents, we set out for a quick hike, but it turned into a two-hour, 4.5 mile hike. Towards the end it was getting dark (and began to snow!) and we were not certain just how to cross over the creek again to get back to our car. So, my sweetheart forded the river to retrieve the car and then picked us up at a snow plow turn around. Turns out, after speaking to a native hiker of these trails, we only had one more mile to go which included a big bridge to cross over again. It was all a good work out and especially nice to have dinner already prepared and waiting for us to heat it up when we returned home. Looks like we may get a white Christmas tomorrow!
