I took one photo today. 

Early to the shops. My feet got soaked because of all the puddles on the pavements. I stood at the cash machine with the gutters above overflowing onto my head. Glad to get home and dry out.

I was intending to go and watch the ladies charity car pull up Kirkstone Pass but if there was an intensity scale for rain, what was coming down would have been at the top.

Then at 11.00, just as the car pullers were due to set off the rain stopped and sky cleared. The thought of chasing them up Kirkstone (they've been training all summer) was too daunting.
