under the bell

went to visit a few of the local churches in surrounding villages this afternoon as they were having an 'open' weekend. The first one we got to was advertised as having some music but apart from us it was completely deserted and silent. This was taken at the second at Llauro where a lovely lady took us up to see the two church bells. What we didn't realise was that we would be walking on the church roof and passing through under one bell in the tower to reach the other one. I've never been up on a church roof before! We then visited Le Monastir del Camp, which has some lovely little cloisters. I love cloisters and these ones may just about fit into my garden!
