Brescia

Over to Brescia this morning to meet friends for the afternoon. About 2.5 hours, nearly all autostrada once we got to Como.

Nice lunch and catch up with Italian friends who live near Padova. Despite having lived in Italy many years it was the first time I have been to Brescia. The company I worked for must not have had a depot here. The presence of a depot was what determined much of my travels around Italy.

In our walk around Brescia to see the sights, including the castle and Roman remains we must have accumulated many millions of steps, or so it seemed.

Our hotel was slightly out of the centre, so even walking in and out of the centre was a fifteen minute walk each way.
