Calm....

....before the storm.

It was nearly high tide when mum and I stopped by the Waimakariri River. It gently rippled by as people cast their rods or threw in their nets. The fish were biting today, some good catches were had.

According to the weather experts we're in for a wild night. One thunderstorm has been and more are expected. Rain, hail, wind and snow flurries down to sea level are expected, it's raining as I type.

Hubby and I have had a wonderful couple of days in Kaikoura. Plenty of walking, watching seal pups, dining - asyoudo and just relaxing. I hope to catch up over the next few days as time and my eyes allow.
