Astley Hall

Took the long way home to look at project on a local park in Chorley which just happens to be named after the hall in the grounds. It is a Tudor Building with bits added on to the front. It has a fantastic renaissance plaster ceiling thoughout on the ground floor. I once helped with an archaeological dig in gounds at the rear of the hall digging up medieval rubbish pits.
