"Souvenir", Leigh Marshes, Essex

A day of clouds and showers, but that was OK. I went out on my own this morning to an old photo favourite of mine, the decaying boat "Souvenir" on Leigh Marshes. It now stands as a piece of "art" and, as their web site says "The project is intended to act as a monument to Leigh’s past and future, as well as uncovering and highlighting local knowledge about the changing ecology, society and industry of the Thames estuary." I think that fits in with this Wide Wednesday's theme of "Piece of history". OK... it's not a wide angle shot but it says cheating is allowed on the spec! :)
