Langstrath

The long lonely valley was looking moody today, but we managed to catch just enough breaks in the weather to have an excellent adventure up Cam Crag Ridge, always superb value. Nearly as good as the positive holds and grippy rock is the variety of fascinating geological features to be found up high - volcanic bombs, tilted strata and plain strange intrusions.
We then crammed in a little more off piste with an 'interesting' descent back to the valley floor.
