Menorca Day 10: Hedgehog on Beach

I went to Es Mercadal for coffee in the morning, then the wind and brewing stormy seas triggered us to visit the lighthouse at Cavalleria to see the stormy conditions from the exposed headland there, and we headed back along to Cala Viola de Ponent to see whether it was calm enough for a swim. Jellyfish scuppered our swimming plans, so Im went for an explore and I took photographs of the washed up jellyfish. THEN this hedgehog appeared on the beach! It poked about obliviously for a bit before noticing me, then hunkered down to consider its options, before sneaking back up to the edge of the beach and back into its hedge (/shrub). First time I've seen a wild hedgehog on a beach!
