Appearances ....

.... can be deceptive. 

This may look like a piece of bark but it is actually a ceremanic by a local artist who takes inspiration from the local woods. This one is rowan. 

Today has been spent packing as tomorrow we start making our way south to France by way of Edinburgh, Oxford (to visit step-daughter) and then overnight ferry from Plymouth. We will be away for 3 weeks and have decided to go with a layering approach as some (but not all) days look warm.
