A Strange Old Day

The first Christmas without my Dad was always going to be very hard. Time has felt so misplaced this year, and it didn't feel like Christmas at all. The day felt very very empty without such an important person. Mum and I did make a Christmas lunch and it was heartbreaking only setting two places at the table. We had a toast to Dad, and spent the day sharing memories.

Mum was still feeling really poorly, so we had a very quiet day, enjoying tackling a jigsaw together and watching tv; we made sure we watched the traditional episode of Only Fools and Horses. Last year I enjoyed a few sprouts; this year I couldn't get enough of them. It seems I've definitely moved in to the sprouts camp.
