Serenity

Dear Diary,

I'm sure the town will be removing the diving platform very shortly but for now I think it added a nice touch to this moment of absolute calm and serenity at Burnt Meadow Pond down the road a piece from my house.  The trees are turning but we are a week or more out from "peak".  A big weekend ahead as the Fryeburg Fair starts and the Apple Festival will be in Cornish.  I will be heading to the Blue Grass Gathering in the orchard at Apple Acres tomorrow afternoon.  After watching the final episode of the Ken Burn's documentary, Country Music the other night I'm looking forward to some toe-tapping tunes!  The weather looks perfect!
