noise

A study in noise.  

A slice of light penetrates the hallway at 3 am.  Careful not to spill the coffee, I coax henny penny out of bed for a grumpy picture.  I crank the ISO as high as it will go and hope there's enough light to focus on her fluffy tail.

I left the noise-cancelling software on because the raw noise finds unsavoury colours in the dark that aren't really there.

Noise obscures the crisp lines of light and shadow.  I think it would be fun to try this with a long exposure but the coffee is getting cold and daylight approaches.

Today I learned how noise obfuscates photography.
