Lone Long Tailed Tit

A friend and I called in at Bromham Mill café this morning for their annual Macmillan Cancer Day and I have to say we were definitely the youngest there by a country mile.

A couple of days ago a Long Tailed Tit dropped in to the feeders but I wasn't quick enough to get a picture.  I was pleased to see one drop by this morning and it stayed long enough to have its picture taken.

I found a stunned Blue Tit under one of the conservatory windows late morning so picked it up and transferred it to one of the laurel plants down the garden where it perked up nicely.  It never fails to amaze me how tiny they are.

Quiz night tonight.  I nearly bought a wooden spoon earlier in the week.
