Product Shooting

Much of my old business was about shooting commercial products for display ads, brochures etc. Sometimes I miss the old days and when looking for a blip I revert to some of the things I used to do day in and  day out - even though I don't have a proper dedicated and equipped little product studio any more. Improvisation is fun in itself of course.

I can't recall ever doing commercial shoots of whiskies but they are the sort of subjects that offer potentially creative  possibilities for the product photographer.

In my early Pbase and later Blip years I set myself a challenge of doing product shoots on every new brand of scotch that entered the house. Oddly enough, I''d never drunk (or shot) Dimple before. I don't know why not because I think that the nice industrial designs that go into the labels, logos, bottle shapes and boxes (even the gold net) are really attractive.

Anyway if I'd been doing this during October Colour Blitz, I'd have probably posted the extra.
