Abstract Thursday
We were leaving this evening to begin our drive up to Vermont. We decided to leave our departure until after handbell practice. Unlike choir, where when you are missing, there are other singers singing your part, in a handbell choir, when you are missing, your notes are missing, which makes it more difficult for the others to practice, so we felt we should try and minimize the practices we miss. We didn’t need to get too far this evening, just breaking the journey between home and our first stop at Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic masterpiece Falling Water, just east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Bell practice was finished by 7.15, so after getting a bite to eat at Panera, we were on the road by 8.30, and arrived at our hotel in Cambridge, Ohio by 11 pm. At this point I was still without a blip, but when I saw the quilt on the bed, I thought that would work for Abstract Thursday, so to follow the day’s theme, I cropped it and rotated it. The colours were shades of brown, but I decided it was more effective in mono. It was actually a very nice room, with some very effective black and white photography, nicely framed on the walls.
