On a high branch

An afternoon walk in Leamington Reserve. Heard more than I saw. However, this blackbird stayed where it was. Silently. It was another blackbird (unseen) that was singing.

I then crossed the road and took a short circuit in Jagger's Bush. As I  came out again, I saw the pukeko which is the xtra for today. It saw me and flew across the creek.
