Summer's lease
hath all too short a date...
In fact it's fast running out and the weather has changed to wet and windy. But a break in the cloud let the sunshine through and two butterflies (small tortoiseshell, common blue) and a bee pounced on this fading ragwort for a welcome sip of nectar.
Strange that such a reviled weed should host summer's last lingering tenants in their final search for succour.
