Angle

It has been, as I believe someone once sang, a manic Monday. An initially straightforward-looking feature inflated into a three pager, then I slipped on a virtual banana skin in Microsoft Word and lost about 15 minutes work, which I immediately had to do again from memory of course. Then the Internet started getting cranky...then I had to repost the text again! Sometimes it's a hard life being a web editor! *lachrymose violin accompaniment*

Oh yes... in my old life I regularly had to commission professional photographers to take shots that would accompany press releases and illustrate company publications. Sometimes they would ask for a little art direction (or I would just give it to them anyway, har har). Shall I tell you the number one secret to good business photography? Take your shot from an unusual angle - from above, from below, from close up, from far away... even the most mundane of things can look a little bit interesting and eye-catching with a little angle imagination.
