Just Missing Milo

when suzanne and i came to Florence in the mid 1970s, as a reporter for the local newspaper, i wrote a story about milo and cora johnson and the oldest home in florence.

milo, in his 80s, back then still split firewood for the wood stove and kitchen stove in their home.

milo and cora, brother and sister, had an old bottle collection in their kitchen.

i took a photo of milo in this doorway and framed by this arbor back in the 70s. i hope to post a scan of the original photo sometime in the future.
