Pittenweem Memorial unveiled
We arrived in Pittenweem after lunch but were surprised to find that the harbour was so busy with little room to park. Speaking to a local we found out that this memorial had been unveiled as a permanent tribute to those who lost their lives in pursuit of the fishing industry. It is the work of Edinburgh scultptor Alan Herriot.
The inscription reads
'This memorial is dedicated to the men & women who make their living from the sea and to those who have lost their lives so doing'
