Monster Apple

Our Bramley apple tree is having an "off" year this year - there were only about 10 blossoms, and we now only have about 5 apples about ready to be picked. However, for what it's lacked in quantity, it has certainly put all its energy into the few fruit on the branches! These are huge! 

Today I mostly caught up on things that needed doing, like shopping, painting, hoovering, recycling, that sort of thing. Then we had a nice visit with a big group of old friends, and came home in the pouring rain.
