First of the season

As you can see, we received a substantial accumulation overnight!  Much to my delight as I wandered into the kitchen and great room this morning, my sleepy gaze was immediately pulled through the windows.  Seeing all this beautiful white snow reminded me of how much I enjoyed our last winter.  Looking back through my photos, we had our last snowfall only 5 months ago!  I know this is only a teaser and I imagine we'll have a few more throughout October as the temperatures begin their descent before the snow begins its layering.  

Autumn, you held first place of the seasons for most of my life, but the time has come to declare my new love.  My heart has been captured by Winter.
