Converse (Indiana) paint out
Today was the bi-annual Indiana Plein Air Painter's Association Brush of Fall paint out. I had such a great time. Found a farmer who is a "collecter" of stuff and set up to paint this Farmall tractor. Made in Chicago in the 1940's, it was a beauty, in working condition. The resident horses were friendly and the humans that lived there were very nice, too. (This is a tonal painting done with my new water soluble oil paints which, it turns out, have quite a learning curve.) Although I didn't win a thing in competition, I did sell the painting right on the spot!!! I couldn't stop smiling.
