Quandong

Quandong’s. A bush fruit. My husband is skilled at spotting the discrete trees in the paddock. We came across this one with quite a bit of fruit on it. It wasn’t quite ripe though. You shake the tree and the ripe fruit will fall to the ground. Not much fruit was falling, so not quite ripe.

The fruit is quite tart, maybe sour. The fruit is really a big seed with almost like an orange or lemon peel around the seed. You eat the red ‘peel’ High in vitamin c I believe.
