Marathon Day

What a dreadful day weather wise for the runners in Barnstaple's half and full marathon today, sponsored by Jewson.  
These Hospice ladies were manning the feeding/watering station I went to (briefly), offering water, jelly babies and bananas to those in need.
The runners, although wet, appeared warm as they came through - with 13.5 miles still to go!
I only lasted about fifteen minutes standing out there in the cold and damp atmosphere before heading home for a warming cup of coffee.  I hope that buy now most of the runners will be home and dry as well.
