Baitings Spillway

SUNDAY

I woke up to another dreadful morning with incessant rain. Undeterred I headed over the Pennine moors to Littleborough for the 10 km run. The 2018 race was my first ever timed running event. Today my time was some 16 seconds slower at 51:24

I've put this down to the weather, a different and more convoluted start position and to the need to navigate all the puddles and at one point run through nine-inch deep floods.

There was plenty of water coming off the moors and some of the local rivers have burst their banks. 

I took the shot of the spillway of Baitings Reservoir on my drive back home from Littleborough.
