Most bizarre

Touring Inch House - again, like yesterday, how odd that i've never been here before - the crudely inserted fire escape was a bit of a surprise.

There were other surprises, too, in this much modified building. Ideas of good, appropriate restoration certainly change over time.

Extra - looking out from within the Burns Memorial on Calton Hill, below Regent Terrace, where the acoustic made the folk singers there sound even better.
