Old Aberdeen

Set off for a walk early before breakfast skies a bit overcast & very quiet no traffic & very few folk in Aberdeen on a Sunday morn!
After breakfast my lovely visitors & I set off to walk in their ancestors footsteps first stop Maryculter to an ancient graveyard built by the Knights Templar’s in 13thc ! We had such fun & found their ancestors graves! We had a lovely lunch at the country house hotel where the graveyard is alongside the River Dee then back on the trail!
Last stop St Machars Cathedral in Old Aberdeen & a walk around the University 3rd oldest in Scotland founded 1494!
