"Confidence In Motion"

My daughter and I were looking forward to the final, early morning, car club run of the year. Unfortunately it was cancelled owing to the forecast of heavy rain. :(

We don't follow touring car racing but a dear friend from the club said that he had tickets for the British Touring Car Championships and asked us if we would like to go with him. We jumped at the chance and met him at the Super Sausage where we had a beautifully cooked breakfast. We loved convoying together to Silverstone like we used to do years ago and as the club had a stand were able to park right at the centre of things.

It was so exciting when the touring cars came on track. So many bright paint jobs, lots of noise and amusing posturing, ostensibly to warm the tyres. The racing was fast and furious and full of spills and thrills. We were amazed how close the cars get to one another and impressed by the confidence and bravery of the drivers in motion.
