Sunny Bournemouth Blipmeet

Blipmeet Day! Yesterday I checked if we wanted to go ahead as the forecast was dire (flooding, strong wind etc.)

Bravely 3 (locals > crispin, cassfoto and 13South) elected to continue.

The 4th (evolybab) made a lengthy journey down last night so meeting her anyway. At 10:30 we walked down from her hotel to see the Distinguished Gentlemen bikers passing the Pier (raising money for Prostate Cancer).

Then all 5 of us met at 12:00 and had a long natter over coffee and cake. After we visited the Arts by the Sea events dotted around the Lower Gardens, before heading back to the Middle Gardens to see the brilliant street art on the A338’s supporting pillars.

We were so lucky, relatively mild and by midday the rain had moved on. Happy to meet ‘evolybab’, so easy to get on with, felt I’d known her for years. We all enjoyed the blipmeet and will do another in the Spring.
