Great blue heron

This morning I decided to drive to the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge as it had been a few weeks since I had been there.  The Sandhill Cranes have come in for the winter so I was hoping to see them.  It was raining hard and quite dark, very few birds were out.  I did see a few deer, an American Kestrel, Heron and a few Sand Hill Cranes but not a great shot of them so it will be the photogenic heron today.  Posting early, my parents are coming over for dinner.
