Nesting trio

These guineas have just been fed and are settling down for the night.

It's been a good day for a Monday - everyone's back to work now so it's a full house in the office.

I cycled to and from central London, and it seemed to me that there were lorries everywhere. This is probably the first day of deliveries for many. I'm very aware and wary when it comes to cycling around these monsters, with good reason. This morning, even though I had eye contact with the lorry driver and right of way, he still turned into my path. I jumped on to the kerb to avoid being nudged by the right side of his cab. If he'd waited just two seconds, I'd have been clear of him. Tch. On the plus side, Fred and I bumped into each other on the route home. "This means only one thing," I shouted from the saddle. "Pint at The Rosendale," said Fred, and he was right - that's exactly what I meant. "That was my first thought when I saw you," he added. "Well, it was my second thought after I saw you," said I, with a laugh. First thought indeed. Do I look like a pint?
It was a very fine pint, though, and we even managed to resist having a pub dinner. Like good people, we had one pint then cooked our tea at home.
