MonoMonday: Relaxing - after a 96th Birthday Lunch

The reason we chose this particular weekend to visit Mum-in-Law was because today is her 96th birthday. So, as Nickimags888 has chosen "Relaxing or Relaxed" as today's MonoMonday theme, here is the lady herself relaxing after her birthday lunch at Sutton Hall, on the edge of Macclesfield.

Besides my Editor and myself, we were joined by my Editor's sister, and by our Son#3 who came on the train from Newcastle to join us.

To make you jealous, I had oven-baked hake on a bed of chorizo and chickpeas in a tomato sauce - followed by sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. The pudding was very tasty, but not as delicious as the Sticky Toffee Pudding which Debs used to cook at Lakeland Photographic (see the extra on this blip from February!).   :-)

We're now safely home after a very rainy but happily easy drive on remarkably quiet roads - with the wipers at double speed 99% of the way!
