The Colorado River

On our way Boulder City to Tucson this morning and wanted to stop at this overlook.   You can see part of the Colorado River from here.  The morning was beautiful and fairly clear.    
   We got to our daughter's house via getting stuck on the dirt road to their house because of a bad storm that washed away part of the road.   Husband thought we could make it but alas we did not.   He ended up jacking the car up, putting rocks underneath the front tires and then was able to back out and we were on our way a few blocks out of the way. 
     After all that we changed into our swimsuits and jumped in the pool with the boys and we had a blast!   Very refreshing!
