Petals for pretending

My house looked pretty boring and a little bit naked after packing up all the holiday decorations. I thought a little color would help. A small bunch of fresh flowers seemed to be a good idea. It was like a breath of fresh air. I put them in a pottery vase that I got on a trip to Honfleur, France. So now when I look at the flowers I can think of beautiful Honfleur and the beautiful flowers that remind me of a warm spring day.
Yup, this is what it's come to...pretending it isn't winter! I used to say I liked the change of seasons. I've changed my mind. I do not like winter. It's cold, dull and boring. I'm looking forward to getting away in a couple of weeks. I need it BAD.
