Launch paunch

A day of driving around Berkshire on a car launch event, staged by Kia to introduce its new XCeed model. Whoever knew that there was such beautiful countryside around Wantage, where the A4494 sweeps through stunningly attractive scenery. The hotel used as our base for the event has a new chef trying hard for a Michelin star, so the food was wonderful, but I’ll have to go easy tomorrow to avoid ‘launch paunch’.
A famously fine castle is just down the road. Highclere Castle is better known as that turreted tv marvel, Downton Abbey.
