Shine a Light

An email went round work today looking for mentoring volunteers. This one struck a chord as it's for kids from less well-off backgrounds, who are looking possibly to go to university, and in the case of anyone I might be able to help, who might be thinking about becoming a lawyer.

Time for me to stop just complaining about the inherent inequalities in many of our systems and see if I can try, even in just a small way for one kid, to help. And given I grew up on a council estate, and was the first person in my family to go to uni, I've at least got a similar perspective that I can share.
