Helm

When the main purpose of a holiday is achieved at the start it makes life interesting as you have to work out what to do. We had brought a guide to the Dolomites so decided we’d spend time there. The forecast was poor for Monday so we took the long way round via Lienz and the Plockenpass to see what we had missed. The blip is a view from just east of Sillian looking up to Helm where we had started our walk, with a flock of sheep with some quite small lambs, see extra. We headed off to Lienz where we did some supermarket shopping and then east towards the Plockenpass and the promised rain duly arrived. We had a small walk at the pass where I spotted the sign in the extra and also the Salamander that was walking about enjoying the rain. The last view is the rain as we had afternoon tea. We eventually arrived at Misurina and stopped at a fairly grotty campsite as the rain was stopping.
