Seeing Cats
Another disturbed night, when Julia, who had bravely gone to bed in the other, unfinished room, really did hear a rat - so a hammock was hung again and she finished the night with us.
More work on the pavement. And a trip to Évora, mainly to get two cats, but they never materialized... and then tea and cakes with Ana Bravo at the house where the Action team will be staying, so full of character. She feeds about twenty cats, but all too wild to catch. Then visiting Sr Zé and Dona Nazaré, then pizza, and a visit to the family of the lad who waters our plants when we're away.
And, apparently, we had a fairly strong earthquake the night we arrived - guessing it was about the only time that night that we were all asleep - didn't notice a thing.
Gratefuls:
- wandering round Évora's cobbled streets, seeing their beauty again, hate how we get used to things and don't see them anymore
- the unassuming kindness of the Alentejanos, show to us so many times today
- Julia and Tom's up-for-it-ness and enjoyment of our friends
And... an extra of our very first grapes, looks like the birds got some.
