Flash Work

My son and grandson posed for my blip this evening. 
I finally got the flash connected to the camera and was able to take a photo using the manual mode with intentional settings.The result is not great and I wish that I was able to move the guys away from the background to avoid the harsh shadows, but I am happy that the flash actually triggered.
