Stolpersteine

Stolpersteine, also known as stumbling stones, is a project by the German artist Gunter Demnig.
Demnig makes these memorials on the sidewalk in front of the former homes of people who have been driven, deported, murdered or driven to suicide by the Nazis.
Today, Demnig installed four Stolpersteine in my hometown of Purmerend.
