Another useful saying for our times, I feel. I was attempting to mend a tear in one of Mr Dave's favourite T-shirts - very fiddly. I used to do enormous amounts of mending/altering etc back in the 70s (on account of extreme poverty) but have got out of the habit. Ought to go along to one of Meancoast's Make Do and Mend sessions.....
